this game would be awesome if the graphic engine was updated... lets say they put the N3 graphics engine in there with the DW combat system... i might actually spend money on it then...

i don't think it matters how much content they put in, if its not a linear story than i should only be on one disc (linear stories mean there will only be a couple times to change the disc in a non linear story you may have to change the disc depending on the region you are in) plus, there don't seem to be any cutscenes so that means that they they will have more freespace on the disc it self.

Square is also a money hungry company and puts titles on platforms that will make money, not just developer preference. The Xbox 360 and wii have both already proven themselves as money making consoles while the ps3 is nothing but a monetary black hole at the moment. The amount of money to develop for the cell along with the amount of time to develop the storyline and art is enormous and they have to know that there is a good installed base of console to drive sales. but really, who knows? with dragon quest leaving the playstation platform along with final fantasy (ie. ds, not ffxiii) I really don't think you can't assume anything from square enix until they announce it. Personally, I think it will come to xbox 360 because that way each platform gets one major series... wii is getting dragon quest, playstation keeps final fantasy, and then the 360 would get kingdom hearts... but with the way the wii is selling in japan, it might go to the wii.

anywho... if this does come out i'll get it to replace my current 360... but really, i just want the new benq drive.... unfortunatly none of my local gamestops have the newer model in.
but the small tidbit of news does not mention any system.... so its probably not fair to assign it to the ps3.... just a thought though
If they fix the graphics on the 360 version i'll probably play it again!!!! now I'm stoked for the next patch!
you guys have seen the alpha builds of the original halo right?? they were markedly worse than the final build... as with any game.
if you then read the egm article, the interview talked about a lot of effects (weather and hdr) that were left out the alpha build. so wait for the beta before passing judgement.
plus, they didn't change the art style at all, so people will think they are looking at the same thing... just like if you compare gt4 to gthd....

Is anyone even sure this game still is in production?? I know that there was the release on how many people were working on it, but with no screenshots, no demos, not even another CG trailer, why should anyone believe that the game is still in production. Maybe after pouring all that money into the game and seeing nothing happen caused the execs to pull the string and try to cut their losses....
Anyhow, I hope it does get made, but my hopes are certainly dwindling
it becomes good because of how the 360 is doing in the rest of the world compared to the ps3. it might be outsold, but its in a territory that is notorious for supporting only itself in terms of video games. It is also doing surprisingly well in its second year compared to its first. It is selling 2-3X the number of consoles as it did last january and february. That IS a positive thing for microsoft. It is selling twice as many units as the original xbox was in its second year as well. ...
this noise isn't a huge issue with me, but the performance is supposed to be improved as well, along with decreased sound... i think i'll be replacing mine this weekend to test it out
I might pick up another 360 to see if this really is true. If it is, I'll sell my old one back to gamestop to pay off some upcoming games... hmmm... such a sweet plan...
I think this is going to be great motivation, for me at least, to conintue to play and buy more 360 games... and really go back and revisit old games.

The difference is that the 360 had supply problems in the beginning which the original xbox did not suffer from. I think after 2007 the 360 will be selling more than the original xbox in its 2nd year, but maybe not by a lot. Anyhow... this may or may not actually be news considering vgcharts.org is actually a site that is consistently up and running.
